Golf club clones or knockoffs have developed over the past thirty years from small offerings with so so quality and design features to some of the most high quality heads with cutting edge technology. At the same time the major manufacturers or OEMs have farmed out their head, shaft and grip manufacturing facilities to Taiwan, China, Thailand, Vietnam and their club assembly facilities to China or Mexico, where ever they get the lowest pricing. This combined effect has placed some component heads, Bang, Geek, Hireko with higher quality, better playing characteristics, more advanced technology and more consistent specifications than the OEMs. Most if not all clone golf clubs or component heads come with the same warrantees as the major manufacturers and they are usually built by local or at least US based professional golf club repairmen/builders as opposed to someone in a large factory that probably knows very little about golf and is just doing a job.
